EPDM-i – Perfect for Industrial applications

Launched during FoamExpo in Stuttgart at the beginning of December 2023, the new closed-cell and soft-elastic cellular rubber quality EPDM-i is already one of the most demanded materials in the KÖPP portfolio.

Both existing and new customers are enthusiastically adopting this product. It was exactly the right time for our EPDM-i, as Asian grades have been experiencing increasing quality and delivery problems for several years. The pandemic, extremely high transport costs, ingredients, availability, attacks on container ships and stranded container ships, wars - these are just some of the reasons why Made in Europe and delivery reliability are being prioritised over price.

EPDM-i not only impresses with its quality, but is also ahead in terms of price. "A classic win-win situation," says Axel Wynands, Head of Sales and Marketing. The lower freight costs on the one hand and the better material utilisation of the blocks, which have a considerable thickness of 75 mm, on the other, have an impact here.

Due to its material properties, EPDM-i is particularly suitable for industrial sealing applications in strip, die-cut forms and others.
